Focus and execution are paramount for the Fiji men’s 7s team, says head coach Osea Kolinisau as they gear up for the Dubai 7s, the first leg of the HSBC series.
Kolinisau said it was important that his side adhered to the training program and game plans.
Kolinisau said the value of teamwork and discipline in executing both defensive setups and attacking patterns were important.
He said his priority was to observe players’ comprehension and flawless execution of the strategies they have worked on.
“I like to see the boys play as a team, execute our defence setups, our attack patterns, and play to our level, the Fiji Rugby style,” Kolinisau said.
“We just focus on what we have trained for, focus on our standards and we want to make sure, we execute what we have trained for, going into every tournament the goal is to always win, and there is no use going if there is no goal to win.
“We got no injury concern in camp. The boys are all healthy and are looking forward to the weekend.”
Grateful for the continued support from sponsors Fiji Airways and FIJI Water, Kolinisau acknowledged the pivotal role they play in Fiji Rugby’s success.
He thanked fans and families for their unwavering support to rally behind the team in showcasing the essence of Fiji Rugby 7s in Dubai.
