International visitors have more reasons to travel to Fiji with the recent official opening of Seventh Heaven in the Mamanuca Group.
The $4 million floating property, with two large decks of sun loungers and an International bar and restaurant has been a hit in the international market ever since it opened its doors in April this year.
Tourism Minister Faiyaz Koya said this latest investment would add more growth to the local economy and more importantly support the livelihoods of 36 Fijians and dozens of suppliers by creating jobs.
“As tourism stakeholders, you are architects of what us to follow for the industry,” Mr Koya said at the official opening yesterday.
“Seventh Heaven opened its doors in April and it took almost five years of hard work to make this $4m investment.
“You saw a new opportunity- you tried something new, you saw the demand and made the investment.”
The minister said one of the recognising features of this investment was that it shared of what the industry was built on, the care of our pristine environment.
Seventh Heaven director Eddy Rotteveel said the property had received enormous bookings from the Australian and New Zealand markets going into 2023.
He said they were privileged to provide employment opportunities to 36 dedicated Fijians who have provided the best Bula hospitality to visitors.
