VALUE City raised $48,700 this year to support children living with cancer through its ongoing fundraising efforts for WOWS Kids Fiji.
The company hosted a morning tea fundraiser last Wednesday at the Api Tonga Centre in Suva, bringing together staff members, customers and supporters of the cause.
Managing director Vera Chute said Value City had raised about $165,000 for WOWS Kids since 2023, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to supporting children and their families affected by cancer.
She said the staff members raised $35,000 this year, which was topped up by a further $10,000 from the company, bringing the contribution to $45,000. The morning tea fundraiser added another $3700 to the total.
“Every dollar we raise helps give these children a fighting chance and shows their families they are not alone,” Ms Chute said.
She thanked Value City staff members, customers and supporters for their generosity and continued backing of WOWS Kids Fiji.
