Four records were broken on day two of the Coca-Cola Games national championship yesterday.

Marist Brothers High School’s Saukuru Ebenezer broke a 20-year-old record in the junior boys Javelin.

Ebenizer threw a distance of 54.59 metres, edging the old record set in 2004 by a Lautoka Andhra College athlete of 54.08m.

Swami Vivekananda College athlete Brienna Rabakena set a new record in the intermediate girls discus, throwing a distance of 42.54m, surpassing the old record of 37.10m set in 2018.

Two records were broken in the sub-junior boys category. International Secondary School’s Roko Uluiburutukula jumped a height of 1.75m in the high jump, beating the record by 0.05m.

The fourth record was set by MBHS student Timoci Nagusa who threw a distance of 15.04m in the sub-junior boys shot put.
