2018 General Election: Nakalou young ladies vote for the first time

THE young women of Nakalou Village in Macuata who voted for the first time today wants educational opportunities increased for rural students.

Sainiana Qase, 20, and Elenoa Vuakaca, 19, were excited to be part of the 182 registered voters who cast their ballots at the village hall.

In an interview, Sainiana shared her experience of how financial constraints had limited educational opportunities for them in rural areas.

She believes great leadership with promising visions for young people like her was imperative for the nation.

Elenoa also believes young people like them should be given the chance to further their studies.
