Fiji’s tourism industry earned brought $309 million into the country in October, taking 2024’s total so far to $2.8 billion.
Tourism Fiji states it is celebrating a strong boost in visitor arrivals, with 89,388 visitors in October 2024, representing a 7% increase from the same month last year.
‘Key markets driving this growth include: Australia: 42,749 visitors, New Zealand: 21,307 visitors, USA: 8,852 visitors,” said Tourism Fiji.
“With 80% of visitors coming for leisure, Fiji continues to be a top destination for holidaymakers. In total, Tourism Fiji estimates October earnings at $309 million, bringing 2024’s total to $2.8 billion—a 6% year-to-date increase.”
Tourism Fiji is optimistic, tourist arrivals into Fiji will surpass one million in 2024.
