The Government has allocated $1 million in the 2026–2027 National Budget to continue construction of the Executive Office and Administration Block for the Office of the President.

The allocation forms part of the Office of the President’s total $4.1 million budget for the new financial year and is aimed at addressing longstanding occupational health and safety concerns within the existing facilities.

The Office of the President provides administrative and logistical support to the Head of State in carrying out constitutional responsibilities, including signing legislation into law, opening Parliament, swearing in Cabinet Ministers and judicial officers, presiding over ceremonial functions, conferring honours and awards, hosting visiting dignitaries, conducting state visits and maintaining community engagement programmes.

It also oversees the maintenance of the presidential residences in Suva, Deuba and Lautoka, and administers Fiji’s Honours and Awards system.
