$14k loss for party

The National Federation Party (NFP) made a loss of $14,890 in the year ending on December 31, 2022.

According to its income and expenditure statement, the party declared an income of $711,223 and expenses of $726,113.

This information has been submitted to the Fijian Elections Office as required under the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, and Funding & Disclosures) Act, 2013.

NFP received $645,188 in gifts, $49,200 as candidates levy, $11,250 from

“Parliament Office Resourcing” and $4900 in rental income.

Out of the total $726,113 total expenses, the highest of $372,746 was for advertisement.

Other major expenses for the party were $99,308 as meeting and campaign expenses, $67,400 for volunteer’s allowance, $55,000 paid to the Fijian Elections Office in candidates levy, $28,115 was spent on wages and $13,164 on transport.

NFP has declared it refunded $20,000 that came in as gifts.

Under remuneration, the NFP has declared it paid out $65,650 as honorarium and allowance.

According to information provided to the Fijian Elections Office, NFP has land and building worth $730,000.

As at December 31, 2022, the party had $10,773 in three separate bank accounts.

The party accounts have been signed off by president Pio Tikoduadua and treasurer, Chandrakant Lodhia.
