THE United States One team took out the Ambassadors Golf Day event at the Natadola Bay Championship course yesterday.
The side, with US Ambassador Frankie Reed and Eric Nand, scored 69.25 nett in the 18 holes event.
Papua New Guinea was second with 73.25 nett. Peter Eafare and Sitiveni Rabuka represented the PNG team.
The British Embassy team finished third with a score of 78 nett.
Ruddy Drummond and Jim Hall played for British Embassy.
Team Hakwa Nadro won the business house category. Hakwa Nadro with Basant Kumar and Hermant Kumar scored 60 nett. Team Shangri La with Thierry Blay and Glen Roberts was second with 61.5 nett.
Team Mali Natadola with Avinesh Datt and Nitulesh Mali was placed third with 61.75 nett.
Steven Jowell of Team Coca-Cola hit the longest drive.
Traviss Orr of Team Naisoso recorded a hole in one on the fourth hole.
Natadola Bay Championship course operations manager Amitesh Chandra said they targeting a bigger event next year.
Chandra said the course was in top condition as they prepare to host the inaugural Fiji International Championship in August.
