Police in Labasa have formally charged a 19-year-old man in connection with the alleged damaging of a religious statue in the Naduna area last week.
The accused has been charged with one count of damaging property and will be produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court today.
Police state the accused is alleged to have removed the religious statue from a prayer house in Naduna in Labasa last week, which was found damaged in the complainant’s compound.
The accused will be produced in court today.
