THE young generation is not afraid or ashamed to put up pictures on social media, according to Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu.
He told the media in Nadi yesterday about a viral bullying video incident of a student circulating on Facebook.
Mr Tudravu said the disturbing act had been happening within the country and is “something that needs to be seen with a holistic view and approach”.
“They are confident enough to use that and it is something that we really need to look into,” he said.
“Why are our young generations not afraid or not ashamed to put up pictures like that on social media?
“This is a golden question that needs to be asked now by society, religious institutions and all our stakeholders.
“It is really frustrating and is a concern to us at the Fiji Police Force.
“It goes back to the family, their parents, and goes back to the guardians, the teaching in our various homes.”
