William Wylie Clarke has been re-elected as President of the Fiji Law Society, securing a decisive 80 votes to 39 victory over challenger Dorsami Naidu of Pillai Naidu Lawyers.

The result was announced at the Society’s Annual General Meeting last night.

In his statement following the announcement, Mr Clarke expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to the Society’s priorities.

“This new term will continue work and focus in three key areas — pro bono legal services, upholding the rule of law, and modernising the Society’s systems to best serve our members.”

Joining Clarke in leadership is Poonam Maharaj Wong of Neel Shivam Lawyers, who has been elected Vice President.
