Update: 5:26PM WORK is progressing well on the $1.3 million Nakama Irish Crossing project that is undertaken Fiji Roads Authority contractors, MAH Enterprises, a local subsidiary of the New Zealand-based Herbert.
FRA chief executive officer Neil Cook said refurbishment works
on the Nakama Irish Crossing is expected to be completed by the end of next
month.
Mr Cook said the new
bridge construction would provide a reliable crossing point that
would last for 50 to 100 years.
He said there would be some temporary inconvenience during
construction.
“Once it is completed the local communities will have an asset
that will serve them well far into the future,” he said.
