The woodchip bulk carrier, Mater, called into Wairiki port in Nabouwalu, Vanua Levu last month.
The carrier was built in China in 2019 and is the biggest vessel to have berthed at Wairiki with a length overall of 210 metres, a beam of 73 metres a carrying capacity of 64,532 deadweight tonnage.
The Fiji Ports Corpration Ltd said the bulk carrier arrived at Wairiki Port on August 21 and departed on August 26.
The corporation said the carrier’s total cargo loaded was 50,000 tonnes and it was the fourth trip the Mater has made to Wairiki this year.
The Mater also has three more scheduled trips for this year to Fiji.
Fiji Ports Corporation acting chief operation officer and harbour Master Captain Laisiasa Gonewai piloted the vessel safely in and out of Wairiki Port during its recent visit.
