More than 1050 Catholic women from parishes across the country gathered at Lomary, Gaola in Serua for the Fiji Catholic Women’s League Annual General Meeting.

The meeting coincided with the church’s Jubilee Year, celebrated under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope”.

Lomary Parish communications head Bill Lockwood said hosting the national event was an opportunity for the parish to contribute to the mission of the league.

“For the parish of Lomary, volunteering to host this national event was a decision rooted in faith, purpose, and service,” Mr Lockwood said.

“We were moved by the noble mission of the Fiji Catholic Women’s League and felt called to contribute meaningfully to its vision.”
