With the much-anticipated clash between Fiji Bati and the Papua New Guinea Kumul’s drawing near, Vodafone Fiji Bati coach Wise Kativerata is set to announce the national squad on Monday morning, shortly after the NRL Grand Final on Sunday.

The selection process has been a meticulous one, with the coaching staff waiting for Australis’s squad announcement to ensure they can secure the best available players for the team.

“The senior players are available to play which is a good thing because we are playing in Fiji, and we need all the top players to be ready to come here and play football so they will be a good role model for the young kids of the country.”

While Jarred Hayne’s involvement remains uncertain due to personal commitments, the focus remains on the team as a whole and winning every game and taking Fiji rugby league to the top.

“Regarding to Jarred , he’s board is not ready, so I understand him because it has been a while that he has been playing so he has got commitments with the family so we will just wait and see on what he is doing so if he Is coming or not, that is entirely up to him so, I am just going to focus on the team for now.”

“My focus is on the Bati team, and I am not worried about the Kumul’s or the Cook Islands and we know where we are heading and we want to get to the top,” he said.

The excitement is building, and fans are urged to show their support for the players, and they can expect a thrilling match, with some nation’s best talents stepping up to represent the Fiji Bati team on home soil.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Bati team are to face the PNG Kumul’s on the 19th of this month.
