THE Netball Fiji men’s netball team kicked off its campaign in the Men’s Netball Nations Cup with a strong victory in Singapore.
In its first international tour in over two decades, the Crest Fiji-sponsored national side defeated England 47-36 in its opening match on Monday.
Coach Jioweli Makare expressed the team’s excitement to compete against other countries and see where they stand internationally.
Makare emphasised the importance of the Nations Cup in assessing their performance and applying their training effectively.
The games are taking place at the Jurong East Sports Centre in Singapore.
The win against a top team like England is a promising start for the team.
