- A trough of low pressure is expected to approach the group from the west with associated cloud and showers to affect parts of Fiji from later Saturday.
- Meanwhile, a moist easterly wind flow prevails over the group.
- Cloudy periods with some showers over Serua-Namosi, the greater Suva area [Lami-Suva/Nasinu-Nausori], Tailevu North, Naitasiri, southern Bua, Cakaudrove, northeastern Macuata, Taveuni, Yasawa, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
- Elsewhere, cloudy periods with afternoon or evening thunderstorms with heavy falls expected.
- Isolated heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
- Showers becoming frequent and heavy over most places with rain developing later on Saturday.
