Good news for movie enthusiasts in Fiji — the return of the Wednesday Blockbuster Movies with M-PaiSA this year.

Vodafone Fiji Head of eCommerce and Digital Financial Services Shailendra Prasad and Damodar Cinemas Group CEO Div Damodar announced their partnership in Suva yesterday that not only promotes convenience of digital payments but also to enrich cinema experiences.

The Wednesday Blockbuster Movies initiative offers movie goers a free ticket when they buy a ticket using M-PaiSA QR Pay at any Damodar cinemas in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa.

“We are delighted to once again team up with Damodar Cinemas to bring unparalleled entertainment experiences to our customers,” Mr Prasad said, adding it also underscored their commitment to enhancing convenience through digital payments.

Mr Damodar said the initiative reflected shared commitments to elevate cinema experience and reward loyal customers.

He said more than 35 per cent of ticket sales were done via M-PaiSA.

“With a lot of blockbuster Hollywood and Bollywood titles in 2024, I encourage patrons to take advantage of this ‘buy one, get one free’ deal,” Mr Damodar said.

The promotion begins March 6 and will run every Wednesday until November.
