Keep umbrellas and raincoats handy as associated cloud and showers are expected to affect the Fiji group for the next few days.

According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this afternoon, a trough of low pressure lies to the north of Fiji.

Meanwhile, a fresh to strong easterly wind flow prevails over the country.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect easterly winds with wind speeds up to 45km/hr over the land areas of Lau, Lomaiviti and Yasawa groups, coastal areas of Rakiraki and Southern Bua, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.

Moderate to fresh easterly winds elsewhere and rough seas.

Cloudy with brief showers and isolated thunderstorms over the Northern division, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

Cloudy with brief showers over the Coral Coast, Serua-Namosi,Lami-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu-Naitasiri, interior Serua-Namosi-Naitasiri and Kadavu.

Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers elsewhere.
