A trough of low pressure remains just to the north of Fiji.
The national weather forecasting centre in Nadi says the trough is expected to gradually shift south and affect the Fiji group from later today.
The weatherman has forecast occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms, with showers increasing to rain from later today.
For the Mamanuca group and northern parts of Viti Levu, cloudy periods with some showers and isolated thunderstorms. Showers increasing to rain and becoming frequent with isolated heavy falls from later today.
