A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the group.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says the associated cloud and showers is expected to gradually drift eastwards and affect parts of Fiji till Sunday.

The forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group expect occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

Elsewhere, some showers and isolated thunderstorms. Showers gradually easing from the west later today.

Isolated heavy falls expected and localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.

Also expect moderate southwest to northerly winds, fresh at times with moderate to rough seas.

The outlook for Sunday expect occasional showers and few thunderstorms over northern Vanua levu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

Cloudy periods with some showers over the southern parts and interior of the other larger islands.

Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers.
