Weather curbs flights

NATIONAL carrier Fiji Airways says some flights may be affected because of the adverse weather conditions.

In a statement yesterday, the airline advised passengers that weather may change, resulting in further schedule changes. Passengers have been urged to check up-to-date information on the website www.fijiairways.com for schedules. Passengers can contact the reservations team on 6720888/3304388.

Meanwhile, affected flights yesterday included:

* FJ430, scheduled to depart Auckland for Suva at 4.20am arrived at 7.48am because it was diverted to Nadi;

* FJ941, scheduled to depart Suva for Sydney at 8.35am, departed from Nadi as FJ1941 at 3.00pm and arrived at its destination at 5.35pm.

* FJ940, scheduled to depart Sydney for Suva at 12.30pm departed at 6.35pm and arrived in Nadi at 12.30am today.

* FJ431, scheduled to depart Suva for Auckland at 7.50pm yesterday departed from Nadi as flight FJ1431 this morning. It left at 4.05am and landed at 7.10am.

* All domestic flights to Nadi, Suva, Kadavu and Rotuma yesterday were cancelled.
