Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain
remains slow moving over Fiji and is gradually intensifying. It is
expected to affect the group till early next week.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Moderate to fresh northerly winds, gusty at times becoming strong
with average speeds of 37km/hr to 55km/hr with gusts to 75km/hr over
Yasawa and Mamanuca group and Western Viti Levu later today.
Rough to very rough seas.
Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms over most
places.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flooding of low lying areas.
Outlook for Monday : Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally
thunderstorms over most places. Fresh to strong northerly winds,
gusty at times.
For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Periods of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.

Winds increasing to 25 to 30 knots, gusting to 40 knots later today.

Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
