POLICE Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says they have nothing to hide.

He made the comment in response to the allegations involving Assistant Police Commissioner Operations Livai Driu in the illegal drug trade. In an interview with this masthead, Mr Tudravu called on members of the public for their patience in regards to the investigation.

“I have already made my statement clear, and I am calling for patience,” he said.

“I am calling for the support that has to be rendered to our CID, and I would like them to conduct their job,” Mr Tudravu said.

“We have nothing to hide, even though there is a call that we are being compromised. I have already stated that we have honest, dedicated police officers who are around and have put up their hands to do the job.”

Mr Tudravu said the ongoing investigation was to verify the source and the authenticity of the messages shared on social media.

“So, that we can connect everything. I am calling for patience — patience in regard to the investigation.”

He reaffirmed to members of the public that they would eventually come to the end of the investigation — even though it was taking long.
