The Fiji Corrections Service teams, Warden Gold and Warden Green, triumphed in their matches against National Fire Authority and Police at Albert Park in Suva on Friday.

In the final showdown, Warden Gold seized the ANC Cakobau Bowl title by defeating Police 16-14, while Warden Green claimed victory in the Commander FB Kean Shield by toppling the National Fire Authority team.

Etonia Taivoce, the team manager, expressed deep pride in the exceptional performances of both teams.

He lauded the players for their stellar showing on the field, attributing the success to their hard work and dedication.

“I’m really proud of both of the teams, they have made everyone proud giving a standout performance,” said Taivoce.

“We have been preparing well for this challenge, we know it won’t be an easy match, but the heart these boys have is just amazing.”

Taivoce revealed that the teams had been preparing well for the challenge, fully aware of the tough competition they would face.

However, the players’ unwavering spirit and determination were evident in their well-deserved wins.

Taivoce underscored the unity within the Fiji Corrections Service, emphasising the collective effort both in the workforce and on the sporting field.

He credited the players for their remarkable display of heart and teamwork, noting that the victories were a source of pride for the entire organization.

Expressing gratitude to the players for their achievements, Taivoce eagerly anticipated celebrating the wins together.

The match was part of the Ploice team’s preparation fot the upcoming Sukuna Bowl.
