Wainimala Secondary School displayed a story of resilience, belief, and quiet determination.

In the final of the sub-junior boys 4x400m relay at the Coca-Cola Games Triple N Zone Athletics Meet, the school’s relay team captured hearts and headlines.

It was made up of quartet Erami Namudu, Livaliva Vitale, Iosefo Kama, and team captain Ratu Ilaitia Delasau.

Delasau shared they had not come just to participate, but to prove that even from the highlands, they could stand tall on the national stage.

Running with grit and fearless energy, the Wainimala boys took control of the race early.

Despite limited access to proper training facilities and resources back home, the boys had refused to let circumstances define them.

Instead, they leaned on discipline, teamwork, and the shared dream of bringing pride to their school and community.

“This win is for all the struggles we faced,” Delasau shared. “We’ve always dreamed of winning a medal, and today we showed that nothing can stop us if we believe.”

For the quartet, the experience itself was unforgettable. Running on the tracks for the first time, competing against some of the biggest schools in the zone as they described as a dream come true.
