THE Water Authority of Fiji Oldies are the winners of the Golden Oldies Trophy of the 40th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.
The team, laced with former national representatives like Viliame Satala, Taniela Qauqau and Kiniviliame Radaveta, dominated the final and gave no room to opposition Navatuvula.
With four tries in the first spell, the WAF Oldies led 26-0 at the breather. Navatuvula managed a try early in the second spell, but was too late to beat the opposition.
WAF CEO Opetaia Ravai said the team was coined to spearhead the authority’s plans to live a more healthy lifestyle.
“We came here geared for this tournament and we just started with healthy living within the organisation of the WAF. We are very fortunate to win this tournament.
“For the players it’s about getting them back together and working as a team and spearheading the campaign for healthy living,” he said.
The team last week won the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s. Yesterday they were $1000 richer.
