LOCAL entrepreneur Victoria Pau’u is transforming a simple island-inspired idea into a growing jewellery brand with international ambitions. Her label, ISEESUN, was created to offer stylish, durable, and affordable pieces designed for people who embrace coastal living.

The idea began when Pau’u discovered metals trending in European and American markets, including 18-karat gold-plated stainless steel and titanium steel. Unlike traditional jewellery, these materials are hypoallergenic, waterproof, and durable — making them ideal for everyday wear. For Pau’u, who struggled with jewellery allergies, this was a turning point.

Recognising the potential for Fiji and similar island environments, she set out to create jewellery suited to an ocean lifestyle. “People here love the sea but still want something stylish and practical,” she said.

The name ISEESUN reflects a deeper philosophy — recognising opportunities and having the courage to pursue them. Its motto, “For those who chase the sun and embrace the sea,” symbolises the balance between dreams and life’s challenges.

Inspired by Fiji’s natural beauty, ISEESUN designs are minimal and elegant, drawing influence from the sun, ocean, coral reefs, and shells. Each piece is crafted to transition seamlessly from beach days to everyday wear.

Building the brand in Fiji has not been without challenges. Limited e-commerce infrastructure has meant relying on retail and direct platforms such as WhatsApp Business, though Pau’u sees this as an opportunity for growth.

ISEESUN is currently stocked at Shopaholic in Suva, with plans for a flagship store in Savusavu.

Looking ahead, Pau’u hopes to expand internationally while staying rooted in Pacific identity — proving that even small island ideas can shine globally.
