Victoria Sangam is the 2025 Sangam Netball Champions after a masterclass performance to dethrone the reigning champions Highbrook Sangam 17-12 at the Lautoka multipurpose court yesterday afternoon.
The Victoria based side dominated the game from the starting whistle till the last, ending Highbrooks three-year winning streak rewriting the history of the competition.
In the semi-finals, Highbrook defeated Papatoetoe 18-14 in a high drama match that had fans on the edge of their seats, their experience and relentless defence secured their place in the final.
In the other semi-final, Victoria Sangam walloped Vitogo 23-4 in a one-sided affair.
Their rock-solid defence and sharp shooting were too much for their opponents giving them the much-needed boost going into the final.
Meanwhile, in the football competition Nadi hammered Labasa Tabucola 7-1, Lautoka edged Ba (Vakoro) 2-1 in a tightly contested encounter.
