Authorities are expected to provide more details today on the alleged seizure of a gun and more than 500 rounds of ammunition from a vessel in Suva Harbour.
It has been confirmed the vessal named MV Malau arrived from Tonga.
The arms and ammunition had proper documentation but the recipient in Fiji doesn’t have the license to possess firearms, our sources have told us.
Fijian Navy ship RFNS Timo had intercepted MV Malau and escorted it to Suva Harbour where the gun and ammunitions were seized.
