Venus house athletics champion which concluded at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday.
Venus House scooped 1783 points.
The Grace Vulavula-captained Venus House girls’ team was the overall girl’s winner.
Jupiter House successfully defended the overall winner in the boys division title.
Ateca Tiko of Venus House took out the best female athlete award as well.
Tiko has been representing Natabua High School at the Coca-Cola Games since she was in Year 9.
Last year’s silver medallist in the blue ribbon event Nemani Mudreilagi scooped the best male athlete award.
Mudreilagi represented the Jupiter House which was the reigning inter-house champions.
Both athletes will be leading contenders for medals at the 2020 Coca-Cola Games.
Pluto House finished fourth with 1147 points, Mars finished in third with 1511 points whilst Jupiter came second.
“The 2020 inter-house competition is a stepping stone in our quest to be the national champion,” said the principal of Natabua High School Virendra Sharma.
“Once again so this is the time that we judge them, we make our preparations for the zone competition and it is pleasing to note that we are able to host the competition which has maximum participation.”
