Leone Varayame is this year’s Levuka Public (High) School head boy while Niral Nivedita Prasad is the school’s head girl.
According to the school, 26 class captains and 36 prefects were selected to lead this academic year.
Varayame is from Nacula Village in Yasawa having maternal links to Vutia Village in Rewa while Prasad is from Labasa.
She resides in Bureta, Ovalau with her family.
Chief guest at the prefect induction was the Pacific Fishing Company (PAFCO) human resource manager Kelera Ratunaisiwa.
Ms Ratunaisiwa told prefects that they should remain focused and committed to their learning after being inducted.
“You should remain focused and committed with your learning but at the same time be a role model and inspiration to your peers,” she said.
“Be obedient and be respectful at all times and do not abuse the authority vested in you as a prefect.”
The two student heads will lead a prefect council body of 60 prefects.
