Value City opened its 15th branch in Nukuloa, Ba, today.
Commissioner Western Mesake Ledua officially opened the second-hand clothing chain’s new outlet.
He said the new shop would not only benefit the Value City company but it would also benefit the many people living in Nukuloa and its surrounding communities.
“The Government would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Ms Vera Chute, the managing director of Value City for her vision and passion in reaching out to ordinary people and customers with such everyday use items,” Mr Ledua said.
He said the new outlet had created four immediate jobs and would be indirectly employing seven people in total.
“This initiative also augurs well with government efforts in promoting shopping and gathering areas for people in open and spacious locations to combat the spread of COVID-19 infections.”
