The University of the South Pacific (USP) has been ranked for the second year in a row on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
In a statement, the World University Rankings 2023 data placed USP in the band from 1001 to 1200 after making it for the first time in the 2022 rankings.
USP vice-chancellor and president Professor Pal Ahluwalia said these rankings validated the excellence of USP and the resilience of our people.
“This is all the more remarkable given that the Times Higher Education is an independent body that judges and benchmarks us against global universities,” he said.
He added USP’s commitment to delivering a quality education and conducting innovative research was the foundation of its strategic plan – shaping Pacific futures.
“I congratulate our academic and teaching staff, our students, alumni and member countries on this achievement.
“It is heartening to see that our staff and students are focused on realising our ambitions.”
