THE cost of accommodation for seasonal workers going to New Zealand and Australia is still an issue of concern, says Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Minister Jone Usamate.

Mr Usamate said while the benefits of the seasonal worker program outweighed the problems, the ministry was still concerned with the high cost workers paid for accommodation in certain parts of the two countries.

“I have had some discussions with the Government of New Zealand about an issue that I have been concerned about which is sometimes the amount of money that is charged for accommodation,” he said.
