SEVENTEEN emerging leaders from Outsource Fiji member operators graduated this week from the Outsource Fiji Leading for Impact Training Program.
Outsource Fiji president Morika Hunter said this accomplishment marked a significant milestone in the graduates’ professional journeys.
“Outsource Fiji is immensely proud to partner with Thrive4Women on this crucial initiative. We firmly believe that investing in the development of women is not just a matter of social responsibility, but a strategic necessity,” Ms Hunter said.
“The unique perspectives, skills, and leadership qualities that women bring are vital to the growth and innovation of the outsourcing sector and the broader Fijian economy.”
Outsource Fiji executive director Josefa Wivou said the comprehensive training initiatives equipped their professionals with specialised skills, industry knowledge, and adaptability required for operational efficiency, service excellence and a sustained competitive edge.
“We are confident this leadership training program has been a valuable and empowering experience for all the graduates,” Mr Wivou said.
Thrive4Women program partner and facilitator Jane Counsel was impressed with the calibre of leadership already evident.
“As leaders, they demonstrated passion, humility, and a genuine desire for growth, not only for themselves but for those they lead and the customers they support,” Ms Counsel said, adding she eagerly anticipated witnessing positive changes they would drive across their teams, organisations, customers and communities.
Graduate Shene Naidu, Vuvale Outsourcing manager Operations Fiji, said the depth of what the industry offered, its critical role in client success, and the influence frontline staff and managers hgad on customer experience appealed to him.
“This program helped me refine my leadership style, broaden my strategic thinking, and deepen my understanding of managing people, processes, and performance,” Ms Naidu said.
Ms Hunter said as the industry body dedicated to guiding and fostering the growth of Fiji’s outsourcing sector, Outsource Fiji played a crucial role in shaping the economic landscape of the country.
“We are committed to creating a supportive environment that enables businesses to flourish, positions Fiji as the preferred outsourcing destination, and ensures the sustainable development of this essential industry.”
She said they were committed to the ongoing development of their members, and would organise further training opportunities in the future.
