Energy Fiji Limited (EFL) has announced an unplanned power outage impacting parts of Lautoka to Rakiraki.
Power went out around midnight.
In a message, EFL states the outage was caused by adverse weather conditions including heavy rain and lightning that caused a fault on the 33kV Vuda-Rarawai circuit.
“EFL’s technical teams are actively working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible,” said EFL.
The company has expressed its apologies for the inconvenience caused to customers in the affected areas.
