Nadroga Rugby is focusing on getting its house in order before turning its attention to preparations for the 2026 season.

Nadroga Rugby Union president Jiuta Waqavonovono said the union is currently working on its compliance requirements ahead of its Annual General Meeting, which is scheduled to be held before the end of January.

“We are trying to get our compliance in place, including our financial report, constitution and club games report, before we go into the AGM,” Waqavonovono said.

He said major discussions around programmes and plans for the next season will only take place after the AGM.

“During the AGM, we will then discuss our programmes for the next season and the direction we want to take,” he said.

Waqavonovono added that players are currently in their off-season phase, using the break to rest and recover before structured preparations begin.

“At the moment, the players are preparing for their off-season,” he said.

Nadroga will be looking to bounce back strongly next year after narrowly missing out on a place in the Skipper Cup final this season.

The Stallions were edged out 23-22 by Malolo in a thrilling semi-final, ending their title hopes in heartbreaking fashion.

With administrative matters now a priority, Nadroga is expected to map out its 2026 plans once governance and compliance matters are finalised at the AGM.
