Sad day for Fiji’s boxing fraternity as an announcement has been made that Ubayd Haider has died in hospital.
His recent title fight against China’s Runqi Zhou for the IBO Asia Pacific featherweight title ended badly after he had collapsed and was admitted in hospital.
“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return,” said his brother Sebastian Singh.
“R I P – See you on the other side, love you my bro. You’ll always be remembered.”
