Typhoon Wipha in HK forces Fiji Airways to adjust flight schedules

Fiji Airways has issued an advisory to customers regarding flight delays and schedule changes prompted by adverse weather conditions associated with a tropical cyclone in the region.

Hong Kong issued its third-highest tropical cyclone warning in the early hours of Sunday as Typhoon Wipha drew nearer, with authorities cancelling grounding hundreds of flights.

As a result, Fiji Airways has adjusted the following flight schedules to ensure the safety of passengers and crew:

  • Sunday, July 20: Nadi to Hong Kong, now departing at 11:20 AM
  • Sunday, July 20: Hong Kong to Nadi, now departing at 7:30 PM
  • Monday, July 21: Nadi to Auckland, now departing at 11:25 AM
  • Monday, July 21: Auckland to Nadi, now departing at 6:50 PM

Fiji Airways emphasises that the safety of its guests and crew remains the highest priority.

The airline is actively monitoring weather developments and collaborating with relevant authorities to minimize disruptions.
