Parliament convenes today to open a two-week sitting scheduled from 24–28 November and 1–5 December 2025.
Today’s Order Paper features a wide range of issues — from ministreal statements, tabling of Bills, tabling of Committee reports and questions.
Among the key oral questions today are online complaints system for police conduct, sustainable tourism and climate resilience, school fees monitoring, energy sector diagnostics, livestock movement for maritime farmers, social protection systems, sugarcane land leases, survey of unsurveyed Mataqali land, bus fare assistance age threshold and rural housing programme.
Written questions include updates on acting school heads, rural ice plant distribution and expansion plans, and statistics on police terminations and demotions since 2023.
The sitting will also consider a motion from the Minister for Justice for the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence to review the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue (1979).
