Asia Pacific IBO champion Winston “The Real Deal” Hill has confirmed he has two more fights lined up.
Hill says one will be in Labasa (August), and second one in October, both under the South Pacific Boxing Promotions.
“These two events will be under South Pacific Boxing Promotions, and I have just spoken with the promoter who confirmed these two events,” he says.
Hill holds the Asia Pacific IBO Champion title, the Super Welterweight, the Middleweight Title of Fiji, and the PBC Pacific Super Welterweight.
“So, yeah, it’s been an incredible journey five fights in four titles, to international titles.
“This is quite a milestone. “
And although I’m still fresh into my boxing career, professional boxing career, I need to remind myself to you know, take a step back and appreciate the yards that that have been gained.”
Hill defeated Australia’s Jyl Wright in the 9th round by TKO at Prince Charles Park, Nadi for the Asia Pacific IBO title, and he is excited to jump back into the ring.
He also confirms there are talks underway for two title fights, and another possible international fight.
“What’s next for me?
“There are talks underway with South Pacific boxing promotions to fight for either the IBF super welterweight title or an IBO international title.
“Both are a step up from the current ones that we have now so these titles come with a huge challenge and these challenges can be in the form of physical training.”
“There’s bigger doors that are opening up for us, bigger titles that we’re looking to bring into the country and compete for against highly ranked international fighters.”
He added that while preparing for fights, there were many challenges faced in building his boxing career to where he is today.
However, he thanked his sponsors AFL Logistics for their continual support in his boxing journey.
“Heading into training camp, that means that there is no income for myself or my family, so you know so the support and backing off family and AFL Logistics helps not just my boxing career but helps put food on the table for my family.”
