Two arrested for break-in

Two people have been arrested for the alleged break-in at the High Court building in Lautoka over the weekend.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the two men were taken into police custody yesterday.

She said it was yet to be established if items were stolen.

Meanwhile, police liaison officer for the West Manasa Tabuakula confirmed investigators had identified the suspects through security footage retrieved from the courthouse.

“We got CCTV footage of a person breaking into the courthouse,” Tabuakula said.

Investigations into the alleged break-in continue.

The incident was reported by a senior court officer early yesterday morning after staff arrived for work .

As a result of the alleged break-in all court cases before the High Court in Lautoka were suspended.

Cases are expected to resume today.
