TOMASI Tuivuna claimed the professional title at the Naviti Open Pro-Am jointly organised by Golf Fiji and the Fiji PGA at the Naviti Resort course last Saturday.
Over 42 players participated in the all- par 3, nine holes golf course, with professionals played for $4300 while amateurs plated for prizes worth over $3k.
Tomasi Tuivuna was crowned the champion in the professional division with a score of 60 and taking home $850, while Waisake Vati finished second on 61 walked away with $650.
Rohit Chandra won the amateur division with a score of 67 while Mohd Nawaz was the best net winner on 62.
Soni Matthews won the ladies best gross on 77 while Susie Yee was the best net winner.
Golf Fiji president Amitesh Chandra was impressed with the turnout for the day and acknowledged the sponsors for the event.
“It was a great day of fun and we thank the Naviti team for its hospitality and we will be back next year in May. The plan is to make it an annual event where golfers from all over Fiji get together for a day of fun and competition
