ILAITIA Tuilau has returned from Vanuatu to reinforce the Lautoka defence for the 2016 football season.
Tuilau, who spent a couple of seasons with Amicale FC, is an ideal replacement for Samu Kautoga who has switched to Ba in the new transfer window.
Lautoka Football Association acting president Abdul Kadar said Tuilau’s return was timely.
“Kautoga’s departure to Ba will not affect the line-up because Tuilau will fill in the void,” Kadar said.
“Justin Edward has also moved to Ba while Kelvin Naidu has gone to Suva. The loss of these boys will not affect the combination because there are ideal replacements.”
Lautoka lost to Ba 3-1 in the opening match of the Vodafone Premier League.
Also making a return for the Sugar City side are Iliesa Lino from Nadi, Cyrus Singh from Nadroga, Leisari Qalica from Nadroga and Jone Kaloutani from Rewa.
The Oceania Water/KBL sponsored Blues will take on Nadroga next week.
Kadar has called on the fans to have faith in the players.
He said there was full attendance at training.
“We made a slow start but expect the boys to lift their performance in the next match,” Kadar said.
