Melbourne Storm rugby league forward Tui Kamikamica is being hospitalised and undergoing treatment for a suspected stroke, according to Australian media reports.

This comes after he featured in the early stages of the Storm’s NRL match against the Cowboys on Saturday and had suffered the “medical episode”, as deemed by the club, this morning.

In a statement, the club has asked that his privacy be respected during this time and further updates would be made when appropriate.

Kamikamica, who hails from Somosomo in Taveuni, has made 142 appearances for the Storm since his NRL debut in 2017.

He is also the captain of the Vodafone Fiji Bati, the nation’s rugby league side.
