Extra Supermarket Labasa FC is anticipating the debut of their three new Solomon Islands players, Tigi Molea, Atkin Kaua and Junior Fotney, as they gear up to face Nadroga in the upcoming Digicel Fiji Premier League match in round 11 today.
The game is set to take place at 1.30pm at Subrail Park in Labasa and the home team is eager to put on a show for their fans.
Head coach Ravneel Pratap expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparations, noting that the players have been putting in the work in training.
“The team has been training hard and working together to get ready for this important game,” said Pratap.
“Our last game against Rewa was a close one, and we won 1-0. One thing we need to work on is our decision making, both with and without the ball, it’s been a problem for us this season, so we’re trying to fix that.
“Nadroga is a tough team, and we know this will be a challenging match, we’re taking it seriously and will give it our all.
“Our new Solomon Island players will be playing their first game with us, and we’re excited to see how they perform and help the team.
Pratap is hopeful for strong performances from them, with the support of a passionate home crowd, Labasa is determined to deliver a stellar performance and secure a positive result against Nadroga.
Meanwhile, four matches will be played tomorrow. Navua battles Lautoka at the Uprising Sports Ground at 3pm while Rewa will be hosting Suva at Ratu Cakobau Park at the same time. In a double header at the Fiji FA ground in Vatuwaqa, Tailevu Naitasiri battles Ba at 1pm while Nadi takes on Nasinu at 3pm.
