THREE Fijiana 15s players have joined the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s squad as preparations continue for the next leg of the HSBC SVNS Series.

Fijiana 15s captain Alfreda Fisher, Kolora Lomani and Adi Salote Nailolo were seen training with the sevens squad on Wednesday at the Uprising Sports Centre in Pacific Harbour.

The three players were part of the Fijiana 15s team to the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup.

It is understood that the three players are vying to make selection for the next leg which is the Singapore 7s at the end of this month.

The sevens code is not new to Fisher and Lomani who have had their fair share of experience in the fast-paced game.

Lomani was part of the Fijiana 7s team that competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in France.

Fisher was part of the national women’s 7s extended squad three years ago before joining the Republic of the Fiji Navy where she served as an ordinary seaman.

Nailolo on the other hand, came through the women’s 15s pathway and made her big break last year when she was named as one of the three debutants for the Fijiana 15s team to the WRWC.

Fijiana is pooled with Australia, Japan and USA in pool A of the Singapore 7s.

The Singapore 7s tournament is schedule for January 31 to February 2.

Meanwhile, both the Fiji men’s and women’s teams will take part at the Coral Coast 7s tournament in Sigatoka next week.
