Three months after he lost his eldest son, Anil Kumar was hit with another blow.
His youngest, Amitesh Kumar, 33, died yesterday after the car he was driving collided with a bus on the Queens Rd at Lomolomo yesterday.
Amitesh was travelling back to Lautoka from Nadi when the accident happened at about midday.
Mr Kumar’s family was preparing to commemorate the death of his eldest son when they received news that his son Amitesh Kumar died in a horrific accident at Lomolomo yesterday.
When The Fiji Times visited Mr Kumar, he said they had just lost his eldest son three months ago to heart disease and they were preparing a small prayer event on Diwali night to commemorate his death.
The prayer plans were abandoned at their Vuniyasi, Koromakawa, Nadi, home after Mr Kumar returned from identifying his son at the Lautoka Hospital morgue.

“We are not going to celebrate Diwali because we are still mourning my son and this happened again,” he said as the family tried to overcome with grief.
“We last spoke in the morning and he left at about 11am, I think he was going to drop off some friends in Lautoka and was planning to come back in time for the prayers.
“I saw the accident on Facebook and my daughter-in-law called to inform me that the car looked like my son’s.”
The Nadi businessman said his son was a polite person and had a bright future as there were plans for him to run the family business.
Mr Kumar’s red hatchback was believed to have collided head-on with a bus carrying 20 passengers at around midday yesterday.
Because of the impact of the accident, it took firefighters some time to dismantle the wreckage and gain access to his body as it was trapped underneath the bus.
After about 45 minutes, they finally managed to retrieve the body and transported it to the Lautoka Hospital.
It is believed the collision occurred just as the four-lane of the Queens Rd merged into two.
It is understood the bus was heading to Suva and Mr Kumar was heading towards Lautoka when the collision happened.
